First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the cholesterol-lowering drug atorvastatin to standard tuberculosis (TB) treatment can help clear the infection faster and improve lung health. About 440 adults with TB in Nigeria will receive either standard care or standard care plus different doses of atorvastatin. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and more effective at curing TB and preventing its return.
