Million-Trained trauma program finally put to the test: does ATLS actually save lives?

Summary
This study aims to find out whether doctors who complete Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training can save more adult trauma patients than doctors using standard care. Over 4,000 patients in Indian hospitals will be enrolled. Researchers will compare death rates within 30 days between hospitals where doctors received ATLS training and those that did not.
