Do old sports injuries haunt athletes in middle age?
NCT ID NCT05344001
Summary
This study aims to understand if former competitive athletes, especially those with past knee injuries, face worse health and physical function in middle age. Researchers will compare 450 current athletes, former athletes, and non-athletes by measuring their strength, activity levels, and heart health. The goal is to see if old injuries and a sedentary lifestyle after sports contribute to future health problems.
