Summary

This study tests whether a daily medication called ataciguat can slow the progression of moderate aortic valve stenosis, a condition where the heart's aortic valve becomes narrowed. About 1,276 adults aged 50 and older will receive either ataciguat or a placebo for up to 3 years. Researchers will measure changes in valve calcium and valve area using CT scans and echocardiograms.
