Zapping away bowel accidents? At-Home nerve stimulation trial offers new hope for spinal injury patients

NCT ID NCT06836739

Summary

This study is testing whether daily electrical stimulation on the skin near the pelvic area can help reduce bowel accidents in people living with spinal cord injuries. Twelve participants will use a small, at-home stimulation device for several hours a day over four weeks to see if it's a practical option. The main goal is to check if this daily routine is feasible and tolerable, not to prove it works yet.
