NCT ID NCT07574437

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether people can safely do daily bowel stimulation at home for 3 weeks before ileostomy closure surgery. The goal is to see if this routine is practical and helps the bowels work sooner, reducing hospital stays. About 34 adults who had previous colon surgery will participate, and their results will be compared to past patients who did not do the at-home program.
