Summary
This study tests new breathing devices for people with breathing failure and high carbon dioxide levels. The standard masks can be uncomfortable, leading patients to stop treatment. The new devices aim to be more comfortable and help remove carbon dioxide better. The study will compare these devices to standard masks in 24 adults in the intensive care unit.
