New drug combo targets rare, aggressive nerve cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether the drug combination ASTX727 can help control advanced malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNST) that have a specific genetic change called PRC2 loss. The trial is for about 25 patients aged 16+ whose cancer has worsened after at least one standard treatment. Researchers believe the two-drug combo may work better than one of the drugs alone by disrupting the cancer cells' ability to grow.
