Daily pill tested to help adults breathe easier with asthma
NCT ID NCT00242307
Summary
This study tested whether a daily pill called roflumilast could improve lung function and control symptoms in adults with asthma. About 450 non-smoking adults with moderate asthma took either the medication or a placebo pill for 24 weeks. Researchers measured breathing ability, asthma symptoms, medication use, and safety to see if the treatment helped manage the condition.
