Major asthma trial tests rescue steroid inhalers vs. preventive antibiotic

Summary
This large study aims to find the best way to prevent serious asthma flare-ups in everyday primary care. It will compare two existing treatments: a special rescue inhaler containing steroids (called R-ICS) and a preventive antibiotic pill (azithromycin), both alone and combined. The goal is to see which approach best reduces the number of asthma attacks, ER visits, and hospitalizations for people whose asthma is not fully controlled.
