NCT ID NCT07052942
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests two ways to prevent asthma attacks in people with persistent asthma: using inhaled steroids as a rescue treatment (called R-ICS) or taking the antibiotic azithromycin regularly. Researchers want to see which approach works best, alone or together, to reduce the number of asthma attacks per year. The study involves 3,200 participants aged 13 to 75 who have had asthma for at least a year and currently have poor control or a recent attack.
