Can a new asthma inhaler match the standard of care?

NCT ID NCT07768891

First seen Aug 17, 2026 · Last updated Aug 17, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a new combination inhaler, containing beclometasone dipropionate and formoterol, works as well as an existing treatment (FOSTER®) for people with asthma. About 416 adults with asthma will use one of the two inhalers twice daily for four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in lung function and monitor for side effects to see if the new inhaler is a viable alternative.

Beclometasone dipropionate and formoterol inhalation aerosol
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide another effective and safe treatment option for people with asthma.
