Smart inhaler app helps asthma patients breathe easier?
NCT ID NCT03890666
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether a digital inhaler system (a smart inhaler connected to an app) helps people with asthma improve their symptom control. About 333 people aged 13 and older with poorly controlled asthma used either the smart inhaler or their usual rescue inhaler for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if more people in the smart inhaler group achieved better asthma control scores.
