Summary
This study tests whether a natural supplement from algae (astaxanthin) can slow brain aging in healthy adults aged 50 and older. 120 participants will take a low or high dose of astaxanthin or a placebo daily for 6 months. Researchers will measure changes in memory, thinking, and brain scans to see if the supplement improves mitochondrial function and reduces oxidative stress.
