First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study compares two anti-clotting drug combinations—aspirin plus ticagrelor versus aspirin plus cilostazol—in 900 adults who recently had a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) caused by a large blood vessel blockage. The goal is to see which combo better prevents new strokes and has fewer bleeding side effects over three months. Participants must start treatment within 24 hours of their first event and be between 18 and 75 years old.
