First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares aspirin versus clopidogrel to prevent small blood clots on the new heart valve in people who have had a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) for severe aortic stenosis. About 254 participants will take both medicines for 4 weeks, then continue with just one of them for 3 months. The goal is to see which medicine better prevents valve clots, as seen on a CT scan.
