Heart valve study tests which blood thinner works better

NCT ID NCT05493657

Summary

This study aims to find out whether aspirin or clopidogrel works better at preventing blood clots from forming on new heart valves after a TAVR procedure. Researchers will compare these two common blood thinners in 254 patients who have received a new aortic valve for severe narrowing. All patients will take both medications for the first month, then continue with just one for comparison, with clot checks at 3 months using heart scans.
