First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study compares two antiplatelet drug combinations—aspirin plus ticagrelor versus aspirin plus clopidogrel—in people who recently had a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) caused by a large blood vessel blockage. About 900 adults aged 18–75 will receive one of the two combos within 24 hours of their first event. The goal is to see which combo better prevents new strokes and major heart problems over three months, while also checking for bleeding side effects.
