Study tests which aspirin dose best shields against stroke after trauma

NCT ID NCT05868525

Summary

This study aims to find out if a low-dose aspirin pill (81 mg) works as well as a higher-dose pill (325 mg) at preventing strokes in people who have injured the blood vessels in their neck from blunt force, like in a car crash. Researchers will enroll about 98 adults with this specific injury to see which dose is more effective and which causes fewer side effects like bleeding. The goal is to determine the safest, most effective aspirin dose for ongoing management of this injury.
