Doctors check if dementia patients get the right blood thinners
NCT ID NCT07313137
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 683 older adults with dementia to see how often they were prescribed blood-thinning medications like aspirin. Researchers wanted to check if these prescriptions followed current medical guidelines for patients with different types of dementia. The goal was to understand real-world prescribing habits, not to test a new treatment.
