Can a computer nudge help doctors prevent dangerous pregnancy complication?

NCT ID NCT05802940

Summary

This study is testing if a pop-up alert in a patient's electronic health record helps doctors remember to recommend low-dose aspirin to pregnant women at high risk for preeclampsia. About 839 pregnant patients receiving care at Geisinger clinics are involved. The goal is to see if this simple computer reminder increases the use of a proven preventive treatment.
