Can a simple blood test predict survival in deadly fungal infections?
NCT ID NCT07313527
Summary
This study aims to understand if tracking the amount of Aspergillus fungus in a patient's blood or lung fluid can help doctors predict how well their treatment is working. Researchers will look back at medical records from 100 adults who had this serious fungal infection to see if changes in the fungus levels over time are linked to survival. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve future monitoring and care for patients with this condition.
