Brain scans reveal how sweeteners may rewire your mind
NCT ID NCT07183254
Summary
This study aims to understand if regularly consuming artificial sweeteners changes how different parts of the brain communicate. Researchers will use MRI brain scans to compare healthy young adults who rarely use sweeteners with those who use them often. They will also scan some low-users again after asking them to drink sweetened beverages daily for five weeks to see if their brain connectivity changes.
