Better blood draws? study tests new method for finding hidden infections
NCT ID NCT07183410
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to draw blood for infection tests in critically ill patients. Researchers will compare blood taken from a standard arm vein to blood taken from a special arterial line already in place. They want to see which method provides more accurate results with less contamination, which could help doctors diagnose and treat infections faster.
