First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 39 times

Summary

This study tested a new, non-invasive laser technique (Laser Doppler Vibrometry) to measure artery stiffness in 100 people with high blood pressure. The goal was to see if this laser method works as well as the current standard methods (applanation tonometry and echotracking). The study did not provide treatment, but aimed to validate a new diagnostic tool.
