Gentle touch vs calming scents: finding better ways to ease Kids' surgery pain
NCT ID NCT07157501
Summary
This study tested whether aromatherapy (using calming scents) or acupressure (applying gentle pressure to specific points) could help children feel less pain and sleep better after abdominal surgery. Researchers worked with 100 children aged 6 to 12 who had surgeries like appendectomies or hernia repairs. The goal was to find safe, drug-free methods to improve recovery by managing two common problems after surgery: pain and poor sleep.
