Could a simple scent stick ease Chemo's worst side effect?
NCT ID NCT07209501
Summary
This study is testing whether inhaling essential oils from a small stick can help reduce the nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy during a stem cell transplant. Researchers will give 30 patients either a real aromatherapy stick or a placebo stick to use for six days and compare their experiences. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable for patients, while also checking if it helps ease their symptoms.
