Army tests lifeline program to stop soldier suicides after hospital discharge
NCT ID NCT07404787
Summary
This study is testing a 6-month remote support program called Pathfinding, designed to help reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviors in active-duty Army soldiers after they leave psychiatric hospital care. About 1500 soldiers will be randomly assigned to receive either the Army's standard follow-up care alone, or standard care plus the Pathfinding program. The goal is to see if this extra remote support makes a difference in preventing suicide attempts and improving mental health over the following year.
