Could a blood pressure cuff on your arm speed up hip fracture healing?

NCT ID NCT07178041

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-invasive treatment called Remote Ischaemic Conditioning (RIC) can help reduce complications after hip fracture surgery. RIC involves inflating a blood pressure cuff on a patient's arm for short periods to potentially trigger the body's natural healing processes. The main goal is to see if this daily treatment is safe, tolerable, and practical for patients recovering from a hip fracture in the hospital.
