Vibrating feedback may restore arm control after stroke

NCT ID NCT03298243

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a vibrating sensation to the arm can help stroke survivors who have lost some sense of where their arm is. Thirty people who had a stroke at least six months ago will try reaching for objects and drinking from a glass while wearing a device that buzzes to give extra feedback. The goal is to see if this simple approach improves arm movement and control.
