Glowing dye could prevent deadly leaks in ovarian cancer surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a special camera that shows blood flow in the bowel during surgery can lower the risk of dangerous leaks after ovarian cancer surgery. About 310 women having surgery for ovarian cancer will take part. The camera uses a glowing dye to help surgeons see problem areas and fix them right away.
