NCT ID NCT06396858
First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests whether two drugs—colchicine (anti-inflammatory) and low-dose rivaroxaban (blood thinner)—can reduce the risk of another stroke, heart attack, or death in people who recently had a stroke. About 4,500 adults who had a stroke in the last 14 days and do not need standard blood thinners will take these drugs or placebos for up to several years. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and effective at preventing future cardiovascular events.
