Summary
This study tests a new drug called AR882 combined with a standard gout medication (XOI) in 25 adults with uncontrolled gout who had severe reactions or failed uricase therapy. The goal is to lower uric acid levels below 6 mg/dL and shrink painful uric acid crystal deposits (tophi) over 6 months. Participants must have at least one visible tophus and be at least 3 months past their last uricase infusion.
