Doctors test High-Tech glasses to improve catheter safety

NCT ID NCT05399875

Summary

This study is testing whether a new augmented reality tool helps doctors place a type of IV line called a PICC more safely and efficiently. Doctors wear special smart glasses that project a virtual ruler, helping them measure and trim the catheter to the correct length before inserting it. The goal is to see if this technology leads to more accurate placement and a smoother procedure for the 20 adult patients participating.
