New AR system aims to help stroke survivors regain arm movement

Summary
This study will test a new augmented reality-based mirror therapy system (MirrARm) to help stroke patients recover arm movement and daily function. Thirty adults who had a first stroke 3 to 12 months ago will use the system or standard mirror therapy three times a week for eight weeks. Researchers will measure changes in arm motor skills and activity levels at the start, midpoint, and end of the program.
