Glasses that fight freezing: AR tech helps Parkinson's patients walk at home

NCT ID NCT05794542

Summary

This study tested whether people with Parkinson's disease could use augmented reality glasses called Cue X to do their rehabilitation exercises at home. Thirty participants wore the glasses daily for six weeks, following a personalized program designed to help with walking, balance, and the 'freezing' that makes movement difficult. The goal was to see if this technology could provide an engaging alternative to frequent hospital visits for physical therapy.
