VR goggles vs. toothache: tech tackles Kids' dental fear

NCT ID NCT06954883

Summary

This study tested whether using augmented reality (AR) goggles as a distraction could help children feel less pain and anxiety during a tooth extraction. Researchers compared 60 children aged 6-10 who either used the AR goggles or received the dentist's standard comforting techniques. The goal was to see if this new, drug-free method could make dental visits easier for kids.
