NCT ID NCT05929118

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing rehab exercises in a pool helps people walk better and regain muscle function after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee reconstruction. Twenty participants who were 4-8 weeks past surgery were split into two groups: one did water-based training and the other did standard land-based exercises, both for 6 sessions over 2-3 weeks. The goal was to see if the unique properties of water allow for movements that speed up recovery of gait symmetry and knee function.
