Summary

This study aims to see if two different doses of a pill called apremilast can help reduce alcohol cravings and drinking in people with moderate to severe alcohol use disorder. It will involve about 100 adults who are seeking treatment and will take the medication daily for two weeks. Researchers will compare the effects of the pills to a placebo (a pill with no medicine) on cravings, drinking habits, and overall well-being.
