A simple sip before surgery? study tests if apple juice cuts Post-Op nausea
NCT ID NCT06481670
Summary
This study is testing if drinking a carbohydrate drink like apple juice before jaw surgery can reduce how often and how badly patients feel nauseous or vomit afterward. It will involve 32 healthy patients having jaw surgery at Boston Medical Center. Researchers will compare outcomes between patients who get the drink and those who don't to see if it helps.
