Vinegar vs. diabetes: small study tests blood sugar benefits
NCT ID NCT07493707
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether drinking a small amount of apple cider vinegar (15 ml, about 1 tablespoon) twice a day for two weeks can help reduce blood sugar ups and downs in adults with type 2 diabetes. About 38 people aged 18 to 60 with well-controlled diabetes (HbA1c 8% or lower) will take part. Each person will try both the vinegar and plain water for two weeks each, with a break in between, while wearing a continuous glucose monitor to track results.
