Can your phone be your therapist? study tests app for panic attacks

NCT ID NCT07247955

Summary

This study tested whether a self-guided therapy app could work as well as traditional therapy for people with panic disorder. It involved 46 patients who were already on medication. Half used the app, and half had sessions with a therapist, both following the same 8-week program. The goal was to see if the app could effectively reduce anxiety and depression symptoms.
