Phone app challenges doctors in ICU breathing battle
NCT ID NCT06826794
Summary
This study is testing if a smartphone app can help doctors set breathing machines more effectively for patients right after heart surgery. It will compare the app's recommended settings against the doctor's usual choices in 76 patients. The main goal is to see which method better prevents a dangerous buildup of acid in the blood caused by poor breathing support.
