New app aims to stop restraints and improve ER care for people with disabilities

NCT ID NCT06986863

Summary

This study is testing whether a mobile app called 'Always Uniquely Me' can improve emergency room visits for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Researchers want to see if using the app reduces the need for physical or chemical restraints and makes the overall hospital experience better for patients and their caregivers. The study will compare 1,500 participants who use the app to those receiving standard care alone.
