Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app called MommyCheckup, along with text message reminders, could help pregnant women reduce or stop drinking alcohol. Researchers enrolled 384 pregnant women in three states who reported some alcohol risk. The goal was to prevent fetal alcohol spectrum disorders by helping women change their drinking habits during pregnancy.
