Baltimore app aims to fight obesity by bringing fresh food to corner stores
NCT ID NCT05010018
Summary
This study tested a new mobile app designed to make it easier for small corner stores in low-income Baltimore neighborhoods to order and receive healthy, affordable foods from local suppliers. Researchers worked with 38 stores to see if using the app increased the amount of healthy food on their shelves and sold to customers. The goal was to improve access to nutritious options in areas with limited choices, which could help prevent obesity and related health problems.
