Phone app aims to lift spirits for patients with breathing tubes
NCT ID NCT07337668
Summary
This study tested whether education delivered through a mobile app could help people with a tracheostomy (a breathing tube in the neck). Researchers wanted to see if the app could reduce feelings of depression, help patients adapt socially, and improve their overall recovery. They enrolled 45 adult patients who had a tracheostomy and could use a smartphone.
