Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app could help people with severe obesity lose weight before having gastric bypass surgery. Researchers compared the app, which provided support and tracking, to the standard preoperative education and meetings. The goal was to see if using the app led to better weight loss before surgery and improved patient preparation.
