Phone app aims to ease cancer treatment burden

NCT ID NCT05425550

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app could help people with HER2-positive breast cancer better manage side effects during chemotherapy. About 196 participants were randomly assigned to either use the app alongside their normal treatment or receive normal treatment alone. The app allowed patients to track symptoms and share them with their doctor, with the goal of reducing severe side effects and unplanned hospital visits.
