Phone app aims to keep hearts steady after surgery
NCT ID NCT07119528
Summary
This study is testing whether a smartphone app can help people maintain a normal heart rhythm after a procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib). 500 patients in South Korea who have received a specific new ablation treatment will be randomly assigned to either use the app for reminders and education or receive standard care. Researchers will check if the app helps patients stay free of AFib for a year and if it improves their memory and thinking skills.
